2009 Golden Disk Awards – Hyesung’s nominations

The 2009 Golden Disk Awards will be held on 10th December 2009 at the Olympic Hall at 7pm.

Just to explain the award system: The most prestigious award is called the Daesang – of which there are two categories, the Disk Daesang (which is based on album sales) and Digital Daesang (which is based on online charts, polls, etc). The winner of the Disk Daesang will be chosen from the 5 Disk Bonsang winners and the winner for the Digital Daesang will be chosen from the 5 Digital Bonsang winners.

Hyesung is being nominated for a Disk Bonsang, among many other singers and groups and also the Popularity Award.

Voting for the Popularity Award is open from 10am, 3 Nov 2009 to 12mn, 3 Dec 2009 (all in Seoul time). At the moment it looks to me that it’s a little complex for international fans to get involved in voting – so we’ll probably have to depend on the Korean fans for this. Any further details would be most welcome.

Competition looks EXTREMELY stiff – let’s just hope for the best. ^_^
